When Cycling, Ride In Style (and in Safety)

Having the right cycling attire is very important before venturing out on a ride. Remember to be sure you are equipped with moisture wicking clothing that helps to ventilate your body and keep you cool!

The following is a transcript of the video:

Clothing is really important to a cyclist. We wouldn’t send someone out to protect our country that’s not prepared with the right gear. We want to protect ourselves from the sun. We want to protect ourselves from injury with a great fitting helmet. So as we do suit up and go for a bike ride.

I want to make 100% sure. I’ve got a properly fitting helmet on that’s well-ventilated and properly fit. To make sure that I do have riding gear – jersey and shorts that are moisture wicking – with the chamois. The moisture wicking material keeps my body dry and helps it breathe better. So as I’m spending energy, I’m keeping myself as cool as I can with that ventilated helmet and the clothing that is also ventilated and keeps my body cool.

Socks or even something that we don’t want to overlook. Moisture wicking socks or allowing the the feet to breathe as well. Gloves that are reinforced with gel pads in the right area is ensuring that we have a good grip on the handlebars.

Vibration dampening as well. We’ve got arm coolers that basically go on and actually cool you in the summertime, as well as keeping the UV rays off the arms. So there’s a lot of products thatk eep us safe from injury, but also safe from the harmful UV rays
