Jaime Brenkus Quick Fit Tips: Morning Stretch

Evergreen Wellness® Fitness Coach Jaime Brenkus offers a morning stretch to get your day going!

Hi, everyone for Evergreen Wellness, I’m Jamie with your Quick Fit Tip.

Any day that you can move and get up? Well that’s a good day, but let’s make the mornings even better.

The first thing you do when you wake up is let’s do some stretches in bed.  Doesn’t take long to get the blood flowing after a sound sleep.

First, you want to bring your knees to your chest and hold for 10 to 15 seconds. This will make your back feel better. Then we do a hamstring stretch by twisting one leg over the other. Then we go into a swimmer stretch, we put the opposite arm and the opposite leg up and hold. Then we do a cat stretch on the knees. Then we do a side stretch into a vitality stretch.

Now go and tackle the day with vim and vigor.
