Evergreen Wellness® Fitness Coach Jaime Brenkus is here to give you the basics on how to power walk.

The following is a transcript of the video:

Getting fit is as simple as putting your best foot forward one step at a time. I’m going to give you a few pointers how to walk properly for maximum output and safety.

For example, while walking, you try to keep your back straight not hunched over and keep your neck in a neutral position. You should land on your heel, roll your foot from heel to toe, and then push off forcefully with your toes.

Your arms should be bent at about 90 degrees, and let your hand swing in an arc from your waistband to chest height. You don’t want to keep them at your side or swing them wildly.
