Frank Lancione was a hard working executive, working six days a week, 10-12 hours a day. Then came retirement and suddenly he saw himself as an ordinary “guy” tending his garden – left with many questions. Who are you? Where are you? What does it mean to be retired? What do you do when you start over and who do you become?
He firmly believes his life is not over. He’s looking forward, not backwards. He is the captain of his fate. Making choices, choosing what his role is in society. He tells us that retired people have the chance to steer their own ship, choose the kind of wellness and quality of life in the pursuit of their own happiness.
As Frank sums it up, “Your life is not behind you. Your life is ahead of you.”
