Mental Health: Mindfulness or Medication?

Joseph Sivak, MD, Director of Behavioral Health, The Villages Health, discusses the benefits of both mindfulness and medication, and whether one can replace the other. When posed the question, Dr. Sivak states:

“Can mindfulness ever replace medication? In many situations, yes, absolutely you could. In many situations, no. Sometimes we’re still going to need our modern psychopharmacology to help out with things.”
