Celebrating Grandparents Day: Two Generations Share Their Life Experiences

What do you get when you put young and old generations into a room and have them trade life lessons with each other?

A perfect entree to this year’s Grandparents Day!

We visited The Villages® community in Central Florida and paired students from The Villages® Charter Middle School and residents of the community, to talk about lives lived and lives just beginning to compare their perspectives.

Residents and students were each handed a stack of questions to discuss, and the results are captured in a video (which you can watch at the top of this page).

This is a completely random pairing of people. The adults and children featured here are meeting each other for the first time.

We hope you enjoy the video and share this page with friends and families in recognition of this Grandparent’s Day.

Here are the questions:

What do you like about being older?

What do you like about being young?

What would you do differently?

What makes people happy?

Have you ever been in love?

What are your life dreams?

Are you wise?

What advice do you have for me?
